Avon Cape Cod Collection Wine Stem

The 1876 Cape Cod Collection was produced by Fostoria Glass especially for Avon, and is embossed with Avon on the underside. It is a heavy, deeply patterned ruby color, and was made to commemorate “both the spirit of the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial and the 100th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, plus the area where Sandwich Glass originated”. This is stated on the outside of the boxes the items came in. It was produced in a wide range of items, from tableware to Christmas ornaments. This is a 4 oz. wine stem from this line. It measures 4 5/8″ tall and is 2 1/4″ in diameter, and has a 2″ hexagon foot. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs.
