Delaware was both a long running and popular “States” pattern made by US Glass from 1898-1910. It is also known as New Century and Four Petal Flower. It is sometimes confused with the similar Bohemian pattern, also by US Glass, although that pattern is always footed. This master berry bowl measures 8 1/2″ in diameter and is 3 1/4″ high. It has a band of cranberry (rose) flash, or Maiden’s Blush as the company called it, around the upper part of the bowl. Gold trim enhances the embossed floral decoration, with a stippled crystal background. There is some minor wear to the gold, and the stain has some light mottling, normal for a piece of this age. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
