Indiana Glass Leaf Pattern #1009

$33.75

This difficult to find pattern was made by Indiana Glass, and was probably only made for a few years from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. Early pieces were made only in crystal, and crystal with cranberry and yellow staining, and had vertical ribs, not present on later pieces. A few pieces were reissued in the late 1950s and early 60s in milk white. In the 1970s several pieces were reissued again in Sunset, Black and Sage Mist through Tiara Exclusives. This low comport measures 12 1/2″ in diameter and stands 3 1/2″ high. It has 12 cranberry  and yellow stained leaves, with vertical ribs below. The base is 5″ in diameter with 12 sides, 1 of which has a small chip, which is why it has been discounted. The staining is bright with no fading, and there are no other chips, cracks or repairs.
