Fenton Hobnail Epergne set

FENTON HOBNAIL EPERGNE

fenton

Fenton Glass began production in 1905 in Martins Ferry Ohio. They began by painting decorations on glass blanks made by other glass manufacturers. The first glass from the new Fenton factory in Williamstown, West Virginia, was made on January 2nd, 1907. They were heavily influenced by Tiffany and Steuben from 1905 to the 1920’s. In 1907 they introduced “iridescent” glass, now known as Carnival Glass, which is a popular collectible as well.

Hobnail is a popular pattern that was introduced in 1939. There were many pieces made in this pattern. The line ranges  from ashtrays to candle holders, bowls and vases, and many shapes between.  This example is of an epergne. It would be a beautiful addition to any table!
