Aynsley Orchard Gold C746 Pattern

This stunning pattern by Aynsley was first introduced in the 1930s. This C746 pattern is from the 1940s. It is signed by the artist on the saucer by N. Brunt. Nancy Brunt worked at the Aynsley factory from 1935-75. The cup is signed D. Jones, which is Doris Jones, who worked at the factory from 1938-69. The pattern was made by “heightening” the transfer pattern by hand by the artist. The gold wash inside the cup and on the center of the saucer is all hand done. The saucer measures 5 3/4″ in diameter, and does have some very light scratching from the cup in the center. The cup is 4″ in diameter by 5″ long, and stands 2 3/4″ high. Both pieces have the Aynsley back stamp, with the number 30 on the cup. They are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs.
