Barolac Josef Inwald Vase-Birch Leaves

This unmarked “Birch Leaves” vase was designed in Czechoslovakia at the Rudolfova Hut Glassworks by Josef Inwald. It was made sometime between 1948 and 1952, and is in the shape #614. It was imported to England under the name Barolac, a trademark name registered by John Jenkins & Son in 1935, and is unmarked. It features detailed lavender washed leaves and trailing catkins on a satin etched finish. It measures 7 3/4″ in diameter across the flared rim and stands 5 5/8″ high on a flat base. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs.
