Garden of Eden Glass Pattern Mug

$45.00

Garden of Eden or Lotus and Serpent, is an Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG) pattern circa the 1870s. It was probably made by Portland Glass, and is mentioned on page 82 of Portland Glass by Frank H. Swan. It has also been attributed to McKee, and Campbell Jones, and is also known as Turtle, Fish or Lotus.  This 7 oz. non flint mug measures 4″ long, is 3″ in diameter, and is 3 1/2″ tall on the footed base. The mug features a serpent head (looks somewhat like a turtle head) poking out above the flange. There is a large air bubble in the flange, (it is not a chip) normal for pressed glass, but no chips, cracks or repairs.
