Hazel Atlas Capri Dots Whiskey Glass
$5.00
Hazel Atlas was sold to the Continental Can Company in 1956. The sale was delayed until 1963, and until then products were still sold as Hazel Atlas items, but through Continental Can catalogs. From 1963 until at least the 1970s, products were sold as Hazel Ware items. This 3 oz whiskey glass is from that era, made in the 1960s. The pattern name is Skol, a Scandinavian toast meaning “to your health”, but is more commonly referred to as Dots, because of the large raised dots on the inside of the pieces. Capri is for the Azure blue color, and only pieces in this color are Capri, even if the shape is the same. It measures 3 1/8″ in diameter with a flared top, and stands 3″ high on a sham bottom. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs.
