Japanese Moriage Cup and Saucer

This Japanese moriage cup and saucer is only marked  “Made in Japan”, which probably dates it in the years immediately after World War 2. The pattern features raised moriage palm trees and a pagoda with gold trim. The cup measures 4 1/4″ long, is 3 5/8″ in diameter, and 2 1/8″ high, and is very thin. The saucer is 5 3/8″ in diameter, with the above mentioned mark in orange, while the cup has no markings. Both pieces have some gold loss, but no chips, cracks or repairs.
